The destroyer "Albatros" is one of the six leaders of the "Aigle" class destroyers. The keel was laid at the private shipyard "AC de la Loire" in Nantes on January 21, 1929. It was launched on June 27, 1930, and entered into service on August 25, 1931. The "Aigle" class destroyers were a significant step forward compared to the previous type. "Bison". Improved hull contours and reduced top weight contributed to reduced roll, and the Aigles became good artillery platforms. The reliability of ship mechanisms has also increased significantly. The service of "Albatross" as a gunnery training ship continued until September 10, 1956, when it was transferred to the reserve. Withdrawn from service in September 1959, after almost thirty years of service.
