BETEXA Company Profile – at the Heart of Scale Modeling

Hello, fellow modelers! 👋

My name is Tomáš Bělka and I’d like to personally walk you through the story behind the BETEXA brand. We are a Czech family business through and through, and for almost 30 years we've been bringing joy through cutting, gluing, and creating to everyone who loves paper, models, and the creative world around us. 🖤✂️

Let me say right at the beginning that the very foundations of this company were laid by my father, Mr. Tomáš Bělka Sr. 💪 Without his vision, determination, and tireless work, BETEXA wouldn't be what it is today. He was the one who launched the production of paper models at a time when it was still an unusual and rare thing. For that, he deserves enormous thanks. ❤️

I fully joined the company in 2010 and have since focused on continuing his legacy by expanding the business – opening new directions, growing our product range, improving the online store, and above all staying as close as possible to the modeling community. 🔧🚀

Our main office is located in Brno (Jiráskova Street), but the heart of our logistics and fulfillment is in Březová near Litovel – where we prepare and ship hundreds of packages to customers daily. Rest assured, each one is packed with great care and attention. 📦💙

How it all began…

We began developing our first paper models back in 1996. Since then, we’ve published hundreds of original titles and collaborated with some of the best authors on the Czech modeling scene – including Robert Navrátil, Tomáš Hřebík, Ondřej Hejl, and Radim Khek. Each brought something special to our catalog. And what's amazing – these collaborations continue and grow! 🧠💡

• An expanded range including COBI plastic kits, laser-cut accessories for railway modeling, and plastic models from brands such as Tamiya, Academy, and Special Hobby.

Our service and approach

Our online store is our main sales channel – and it’s more than just a shopping platform. It’s a space we constantly improve, making it comfortable, functional, and user-friendly. We want every customer to enjoy their experience. Every order is sent out quickly, safely, and with a smile. 😊📬

We also supply networks such as Pompo, HM Studio, Wiky and others – especially with our simpler children’s cut-outs, which have become well-established in those stores. 🧒✂️

Magazine, contests & community

The BETEXA Magazine is where we share reviews, building tips, interviews with authors, and reports from exhibitions. ❤️📰

We maintain a modeling events calendar, organize online competitions (such as the Grand Prix), and regularly attend exhibitions and meetups. We love engaging with our customers – their stories, pictures, and finished builds mean everything to us.

Production & technology

We operate our own laser and 3D production facilities. 🛠️ This allows us to manufacture many components in-house – from dioramas to small accessories. We also offer these services to other companies. So if you're looking for custom model production – we’re here for you.
