The Praga S5T (road five-tonne, spoken-tipped) is a medium-tonnage road truck, built on the basis of the Praga V3S off-road three-tonne, from which it took over mainly the drive train, modified frame and cab. Unlike the V3S, the S5T is a two-axle, with rear-wheel drive (4 × 2 sign). Gradually, three development versions were created, differing mainly in the engine used. The basic design of the vehicle was a flatbed and a three-way tipper. In addition to them, however, other purpose-built superstructures were also mounted on the car. There were also variants with an extended wheelbase or an extended cab. Under the name S5T-TN, semi-trailer tractors were created based on a modified S5T chassis. The production of the Praga S5T car took place in the years 1956–1961 in AZKG Prague-Vysočany, and then, until its completion in 1972, in Avia Letňany.
