Tower Bridge is a combined suspension and drawbridge in London over the River Thames. It stands near the Tower Castle and connects the City of London with the borough of Tower Hamlets, which borders Southwark. It is sometimes mistakenly confused with London Bridge, which stands less than a kilometer further upstream. Along with Big Ben, the Tower Castle and the Houses of Parliament, they are among the historical symbols of the city.
