Gloire was a French light cruiser of the La Galissonnière class. After the defeat of France, Gloire remained loyal to the Vichy French government until 1942, when she joined the Free French forces. The ship underwent rearmament and modernization in the United States in 1943, during which her anti-aircraft armament was strengthened. She fought on the Allied side until the end of the war. She was scrapped in 1958.
