The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Most is a late Gothic church, which was built after the town fire in 1517–1550. He gained notoriety especially in 1975, when he was moved by rails by 841 meters to be rescued from a city that was razed to the ground due to coal mining. It is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the transport of the heaviest object by rail. The church is located in the northern part of the city behind the Most Corridor, about 1 km west of the station. It is owned by the state (administered by the National Monuments Institute) and is open to the public. The church became a national cultural monument on February 8, 2010.
