Vízmburg is a castle ruin located in the cadastre of the municipality of Havlovice in the Hradec Králové Region. Since 1964 it has been protected as a cultural monument. The ruin is the property of the Czech Republic and is managed by the National Monuments Institute. The maintenance and conservation of the ruins has been undertaken by a local association.

Vízmburk Castle is first mentioned in 1279 in the Dalimil Chronicle, in which it is mentioned in connection with Tas of Vízmburk (son of Peter of Skalice), who was probably the first owner of the castle. Tas of Vízmburk belonged to the powerful East Bohemian family of the Lords of the Golden Stirrup, who colonized the area of ​​northeastern Bohemia in the 13th century. After Tas's death in 1304, the castle and the estate passed to his son Jaroš, who sold it to Milot of Pnětluk sometime before 1309. Sometime between 1327 and 1330, the castle came into the possession of the lords of Dubé, who held the castle until its destruction in 1447.

The last owner of the castle was Jiří of Dubé and of Vízmburk, who no longer lived in the castle permanently. In the turbulent years after the Hussite Wars, the present military garrison actively participated, together with the garrisons of other castles in eastern Bohemia, in plundering raids against Silesian cities. In 1447, they united and bought and demolished Vízmburk Castle with other castles in the area.
