The Type 63 is a Chinese rocket launcher, ideal for use in guerrilla warfare. The trailer and launcher can be disassembled and transported over mountain passes on mules, or can be attached to the back of a car. During the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, the Chinese People's Liberation Army sold many of these rocket launchers to friendly guerrillas in Afghanistan. They continued to be used in the later Afghan Civil War.
