The SdKfz 7 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 7) was a tracked military vehicle used by the German Wehrmacht and Waffen SS during World War II.
The origins of the SdKfz 7 can be traced back to 1934, when a requirement was made for an eight-ton tracked vehicle. It first appeared in 1938 and was intended to be used primarily as an artillery tractor for the 88mm Flak gun and 150mm howitzer. The vehicle was designed to carry 12 people in seats. There was an enclosed area in the rear for ammunition storage. The tractor could tow a trailer weighing up to 8,000 kg and was also equipped with a winch.
