Okoř is a castle ruin on the outskirts of the village of the same name in the Praha-západ district of the Central Bohemian Region, about fifteen kilometers northwest of Prague. Since 1965, it has been protected as a cultural monument.

The castle was built in the second half of the thirteenth century. Its founder was probably one of the important representatives of the church, but from the middle of the fourteenth century, Okoř served as the seat of wealthy Prague burghers and less important noble families. In the second half of the fifteenth century, the castle was acquired by the lords of Donín and after them the Bořitovs of Martinice, who left the unused castle to the Jesuits in the middle of the seventeenth century. They renovated Okoř in Baroque style for the needs of the order and used it as a summer residence. After the abolition of the order, the castle became an easily accessible source of building material and quickly turned into a ruin.

Okoř stands on a rock in the valley of the Zákolanský stream at an altitude of about 275 meters. The preserved appearance of the castle core is the result of a generous reconstruction in the fourteenth century, which made Okoř one of the most elaborately constructed noble castles in Bohemia. The development of firearms in the fifteenth century forced the construction of an external fortification equipped with a pair of semi-circular artillery bastions. The castle core was not renovated until the Renaissance. Later construction work was more of a maintenance nature and most of it disappeared after the castle was abandoned.
