North Manitou Lighthouse
The floating lighthouse in a shallow water near the island of North Manitou on Lake Michigan appeared in 1910. In 1935, a stationary lighthouse was built, in 1980 it was automated. The lighthouse building is a multi-level construction: on a concrete base there is a two-story steel superstructure with living quarters and a diesel generator, and a three-level tower on it. The fire of the lighthouse is located at a height of 24 meters above the water.
The model has a middle level of difficulty. Suitable for both experienced and novice model makers.
