Jurkovič's lookout tower is located on the eastern edge of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. It stands on Karl's Hill (also Petřek's Slope) above the Wallachian Open Air Museum, at an altitude of 480 m above sea level.
The plans for the construction of the lookout tower were created by Dušan Jurkovič in 1896 for the Tourist Association in Valašské Meziříčí. It was to be located on Brdo Hill in the Brňov municipality. Despite attempts to build it in the 1960s, construction only began in October 2010, and the building was completed in December 2011. The grand opening took place on April 28, 2012. The concrete foundation is clad in stone, and beech, spruce and fir wood were used for the wooden parts.
