The Aichi E13A was a floatplane of the Imperial Japanese Naval Air Force used in World War II. In the Imperial Navy, it was referred to as a Type 0 reconnaissance seaplane. The Allies assigned it the code name Jake. The first prototype took off in 1938, the aircraft began to be serially produced from 1940. It was one of the most widespread Japanese reconnaissance seaplanes, of which 1,308 units were produced by 1945 in various Japanese factories.
