The Bell AH-1 Cobra is an American two-seat, single-engine combat helicopter designed to directly support ground troops and destroy enemy manpower and combat equipment. The first prototype took off on September 7, 1965, and the machine entered the service of the army in 1967. In the same year, the helicopter was deployed for the first time in combat, in the Vietnam War. He participated in various combat operations, the most recent of which were actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
