Our history
How BETEXA grew — 33 years
From a stationery shop in Brno to a full-scale modelling e-shop with its own team and community.
Origins
1993
BETEXA founded
A stationery and haberdashery shop in Brno. The foundation from which everything grew.
Online
1999
Online store launched
betexa.cz goes live — one of the first specialist modelling e-shops in the Czech Republic.
2009
First e-shop upgrade
Migration to a modern platform and expansion of the product range.
2010
Social media launch
BETEXA starts building an online community of modellers via social media.

2013
First modelling exhibition
BETEXA meets modellers in person for the first time. The exhibition tradition begins.
2022
Modelářský svět — registered association
The exhibition moves under the registered association Modelářský svět z.s.

First paper model published
BETEXA becomes a publisher — the seed of the entire modelling line.

Prague Castle paper model
Publication of the flagship paper model — still one of the most popular to this day.

We attend modelling exhibitions and events across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. At events where we are present, we can bring your order directly to you.

How long does delivery take? +
In-stock items are dispatched every business day. Delivery depends on the carrier; customers on Heureka frequently mention receiving orders within 2 days.

How are paper models packaged? +
Paper models and cut-out kits are packed so they cannot bend or be damaged. Booklets are typically sent in a rigid envelope or card box depending on the format.
Do you ship internationally? +
